All Heine Brothers coffee is fair-trade and organic! As a member of Cooperative Coffees, we import our beans directly from the farmers, and roast it 5 days a week in our small-batch roaster in the Clifton neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky.



Fair Trade means we buy directly from coffee farmers, pay fair prices, provide access to credit, and encourage environmental stewardship. All of this is designed to help coffee farming families improve their quality of life, keep their children in school, and re-invest in their farms.



All of our coffee is organically grown, meaning that no chemicals or other harmful pest control was used. This approach focuses on building healthy soil through composting, terracing, and inter-cropping, instead of fertilizing with synthetic chemicals. By utilizing these practices farmers are able to protect the quality of their water and soil, ensuring a healthy environment for generations to come.
